Meltblown
Versatile thanks to special spinning processes
Hardly any other company has shaped and
efficiently developed the meltblown process as much as Innovatec®. It forms the basis for
high-quality, versatile and easy-to-process nonwovens.
Innovative process
What is special about Meltblown is that in the manufacturing process non-woven fabrics are made directly from plastic granulate.
Innovatec® uses a special spinning process that has been further developed over many years.
Here, the granulate is used in combination with high-speed hot air to produce fine-fibre fabrics with different structures.
This is how Meltblown is made
Granulate melted in an extruder is conveyed directly into the nozzle block via a spinning pump. After exiting through the nozzle tip, the polymer is stretched by compressed process hot air.
The resulting microfibre fleece is deposited on an air-permeable sieve belt. For the production of laminates, the meltblown line can be extended with unwind stations in front of and behind the die. A calander combines the fed materials.
